In the Bhagavad Gita, chapter 14, Bhagwan Krishna explains that there are three types of qualities inside every person—Sattva (goodness), Rajas (activity), and Tamas (laziness or darkness).
Sattva Guna is the quality of goodness. It makes our heart feel light, happy, kind, and peaceful. When someone tells the truth, helps others, is kind, keeps things clean, and stays calm, that is Sattva Guna.

Sattva Guna in daily life
Dear children, to be closer to Bhagwan Krishna, to remain happy and peaceful forever, follow Sattva Guna in daily life:
Speak the truth, even when it’s hard.
Be kind to all people, animals, and plants.
Help your parents and teachers.
Keep your room and books clean and organized.
Eat healthy food.
Pray with love, faith, and devotion.
Share your toys.
Do not hurt others and do what is right.
Dear children, Sattva Guna helps build a strong and beautiful character. It teaches us to be honest, helpful, peaceful, and full of goodness. Just like flowers need sunlight to grow, our minds need Sattva to shine.
