These beautiful lines of Swami Vivekananda highlight the importance of a great Guru or teacher in a student's life.
Hello everyone!
On this teacher’s day, I stand before you to express my deep gratitude to all our teachers, who, like true Gurus, have guided us through challenges and empowered us with knowledge. This is the time when we recognize their invaluable contributions to nurturing their students and guiding them toward success.
As we all know, teacher's Day is celebrated on 5th September to honour Dr. Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan, a scholar, teacher, and the second President of India. He believed in the importance of education and dedicated his life to teaching and spreading the knowledge of philosophy.
Dr. Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan said, "Teachers should be the best minds in the country." He valued education and believed that teachers have the power to shape a nation by helping children reach their full potential.
Teachers are our everyday superheroes, making learning both fun and meaningful. Like our parents, they guide us, helping us grow and find our way in life. They selflessly teach us and treat us as their own children. Our teachers inspire us to dream big and reach for the stars.
In our culture, teachers or Gurus hold a superior position over God. This teaches that without the help and guidance of a teacher or Guru, one cannot reach their goals in life.

As students, we can express our love and gratitude in various ways, such as giving gifts, cards, or books. However, the best way to thank them is by applying their teachings in our lives.
Just as Arjuna’a became the best archer of all times with the blessing and guidance of his Great Guru Dronacharya and gained wisdom from Krishna about doing one's duty and following the path of righteousness, we too can reach our full potential by trusting and dedicating ourselves to our teachers and Gurus.
With the guidance and encouragement of our teachers, we can overcome any obstacle in life. No matter how much we thank them, it will never be enough to match their sacrifice and dedication.
Lastly, I would like to say that teachers are not just educators; they are our heroes, mentors, and role models. Thank you, teachers, for brightening our lives with knowledge. On behalf of all the students, I thank our teachers for tirelessly working day and night to shape our future. Wishing you all a happy Teachers Day!
