Sometimes things don’t go the way we want. You might lose a game, get a low mark in a test, fight with a friend, or feel left out. When this happens, you may feel angry, sad, or confused. Long ago, on the battlefield of Kurukshetra, even the brave warrior Arjuna felt confused and upset. That is when Bhagwan Shri Krishna shared beautiful teachings about peace, courage, and inner strength in the Bhagavad Gita.
Shri Krishna teaches us that peace does not come from everything going perfectly. It comes from how we think and act when things go wrong.

The Bhagavad Gita Shloka (2.63)
क्रोधाद्भवति सम्मोहः सम्मोहात्स्मृतिविभ्रमः ।
स्मृतिभ्रंशाद् बुद्धिनाशो बुद्धिनाशात्प्रणश्यति ॥
krodhad bhavati sammohah sammohat smriti vibhramah
smriti bhramshad buddhi nasho buddhi nashat pranashyati
From anger comes confusion. From confusion, memory is lost. When memory is lost, wisdom is also lost. And when wisdom disappears, we make wrong choices.
Krishna is telling us that when we get very angry or upset, we stop thinking clearly. That is why staying calm is so important. Peace helps us make better decisions.
Shri Krishna’s Teachings for Finding Peace
Control Your Mind
Krishna teaches that the mind can be our best friend or our biggest enemy. If we train it to stay calm, it helps us. If we let it run wild with anger and fear, it creates trouble.
Dear children, this means:
Don’t believe every negative thought.
If you fail once, don’t say, “I am useless.”
Tell your mind positive and true things.
A calm mind brings peaceful feelings.
Do Your Duty Without Fear
Krishna teaches: Focus on doing your best, not on worrying about the result.
If you study well, that is your duty. If you practice honestly, that is your duty.
Winning or losing is not always in your control. Peace comes when you know you tried your best.

Stay Balanced in Success and Failure
Krishna teaches samatvam — balance.
If you win, don’t become too proud. If you lose, don’t become too sad.
Both success and failure are temporary. Staying balanced keeps your heart peaceful.
Choose Right Actions
When things go wrong, you have two choices:
React with anger
Respond with wisdom
Krishna teaches us to pause and choose wisely. Even when others behave badly, you can choose kindness.
That is the real strength that brings peace.
How to Find Peace When Things Go Wrong?
Take a Deep Breath: When something goes wrong, don’t react immediately. Close your eyes and take five slow breaths. This helps your mind become calm.
Pause Before You Speak: If you are angry, wait before saying anything. Words spoken in anger can hurt others.
Focus on What You Can Control: You cannot control everything. You cannot control the weather, other people’s actions, or sometimes even the result of a test. However, you can control your effort, attitude, and response.
Talk to Someone You Trust: Just like Arjuna spoke to Krishna, you can talk to your parents, teacher, or a good friend when you feel confused.

Krishna’s teachings remind us that peace is inside us. It grows when we stay calm, think clearly, and choose kindness even when things are hard. Peace does not depend on perfect situations. It depends on a strong and calm mind. When we control our anger, fulfill our duties sincerely, remain balanced in success and failure, and learn from our problems, we build inner peace.
