Ganesh Ji is known as the remover of obstacles and is worshipped before starting a new task. He loves sweets, especially modaks. 1. Ganesha Mantra
वक्रतुण्ड महाकाय सूर्यकोटि समप्रभ।
निर्विघ्नं कुरु मे देव सर्वकार्येषु सर्वदा ॥
Vakratunda Mahakaaya Suryakoti Samaprabha
Nirvighnam Kuru Mey Deva Sarva Kaaryeshu Sarvada
Meaning
The one with a curved trunk, a large body, and brightness like millions of suns, removes all obstacles in every task at all times.
This prayer is often recited before starting any important task or venture to seek Bhagwan Ganesh’s blessings for success.

2. Ganesha Mantra

अगजानन पद्म अर्कं
गजाननं अहर्निशम्।
अनेकदन्तं भक्तानाम्
एकदन्तम् उपास्महे॥
Agajaanana Padmaarkam

Anekadantham Bhaktaanaam
Ekadantam Upaasmahey
Meaning
I worship the one whose face resembles a lotus, son of Goddess Parvati, like the sun shining on a lotus, the elephant-faced God, whom I remember day and night. The one with many tusks for his devotees, and I bow down to and meditate upon the one-tusked Bhagwan.
Children, imagine a beautiful lotus flower opening up when the bright sun shines on it! Just like that, Bhagwan Ganesha’s face glows with love and kindness. When we say this prayer, we thank Ganesh Ji and ask for his love, wisdom, and protection.

3. Ganesh Mantra
तत्पुरुषाय विद्महे।
वक्रतुण्डाय धीमहे।
तन्नो दन्तिः प्रचोदयात्॥
Tatpurushaaya Vidmahe
Vakratundaaya Dheemahe
Tanno Danthihi Prachodayaat
Meaning
We meditate upon the Supreme Bhagwan Ganesha; we think upon the one with the curved trunk symbolizing wisdom and strength; may that divine tusked one enlighten and guide our intellect.

विनायको विघ्नराज-द्वैमातुर-गणाधिपाः ।
अप्येकदन्त-हेरम्ब-लम्बोदर-गजाननाः ॥
Vinayako Vighnaraja-Dvimaatura-Ganadhipah
Apyekadanta-Heramba-Lambodara-Gajananaah
Meaning
We pray to Bhagwan Ganesh, the supreme leader, the God of remover of obstacles, the leader of the Ganas (followers of Shiva), the one with a single tusk and a large belly. O! the elephant-faced God! You are the protector of every being.
This prayer tells us about Bhagwan Ganesha’s many special names and what they mean! Each name shows how powerful, kind, and wise he is. Whenever we face difficulties—in school, at home, or with friends—praying to Ganesha makes everything easier and fills us with confidence!

5. Ganesh Mantra
गौरीनन्दन गजानना |
गिरिजानन्दन निरञ्जना
पार्वतीनन्दन शुभानना
शुभानना शुभानना पाहि
प्रभो मां पाहि प्रसन्नाम् ॥

6. Ganesh Mantra

ॐ एकदन्ताय विद्महे वक्रतुंडाय धीमहि
तन्नो बुदि्ध प्रचोदयात।।
Om ekadantaya vidmahe vakratundaya dheemahi
Tanno danti prachodayat
Meaning
We meditate upon the one-tusked God (Ekadanta), we pray to the curved-trunked one (Vakratunda), Bhagwan Ganesh. May he guide us towards wisdom.
Children, whenever we have a big test or a difficult problem to solve or an important decision to make, we can say this prayer to ask Ganesh Ji to guide our minds!

7. Ganesh Mantra
श्रीकान्तो मातुलो यस्य जननी सर्वमंगला।
जनकः शंकरो देवः तम् वन्दे कुंजराननम्॥
Sri kanto matulo yasya jananee sarva mangala
Janakaha Shankaro devaha tam vande kunjaraananam
Meaning
I bow down to Bhagwan Ganesha, the one whose uncle is Bhagwan Vishnu, mother is loving Devi Parvati, father is super strong Bhagwan Shiva and has the face of an elephant.
Children, if there is a race at school and you feel nervous, you can pray to Bhagwan Ganesh for strength and confidence.
8. Ganesh Mantra

ॐ गन गणपतए नमो नमः
श्री सिद्धि विनायक नमो नमः
अष्टविनायक नमो नमः
गणपति बाप्पा मोरया
Om Gam Ganapathaye namo namaha
Shree Siddhi Vinayaka namo namaha
Ashta Vinayaka namo namaha
Ganapathi bappa moray
Meaning
Salutations to Bhagwan Ganesha, the remover of obstacles; salutations to Siddhi Vinayaka, the bestower of success and prosperity; salutations to the eight forms of Bhagwan Ganesha (Ashtavinayaka). Ganesha, come again and bless us!

गजाननं भूतगणादि सेवितं
कपित्थ जम्बू फल सार भक्षितम्॥

Meaning
Bhagwan Ganesha, who has the face of an elephant, is loved and respected by gods and helpers from the heavens. He enjoys the taste of wood apples and rose apples. This shloka tells us about Ganesh Ji’s love for sweets and fruits and how Devi and Devta serve him with devotion.
Children imagine you come home hungry after playing, and your mom gives you your favourite fruit or a sweet! Just like you love yummy treats, Bhagwan Ganesha also enjoys his favourite fruits. That’s why during Ganesh Chaturthi, we offer him modaks, fruits, and sweets—because He loves them and blesses us in return!
