This story teaches us that happiness grows when we share with others, and a loving heart is more important than anything we own.
Story
Little Krishna was the beloved son of Yashoda Maiya and Nanda Baba, who lived in the village of Gokul. With his bright eyes, sweet smile, and playful nature, he brought joy to everyone around him, but he was also very mischievous!
One day, a gopi quietly entered her house and was shocked to see Krishna standing on a stool, eating butter from her pot. His cheeks were full, and butter was smeared all over his face. “Krishna! I caught you today!” she shouted.
This time, she didn’t let him escape. She quickly caught him, tied him to a pillar, and said, “Now you stay here! Let me go and call Yashoda. Today, I will prove your mischief!”
The gopi, upset but determined, went straight to Yashoda and complained, “Your son is in my house right now, stealing butter!”
Yashoda smiled gently and said, “That cannot be. Krishna is inside the house.”

Just then, Krishna walked out from inside the room, looking completely innocent. “Maiya, did you call me?” he asked sweetly.
The gopi stood there in shock. She had just seen him in her house and also tied him to the pillar, so how was he here? She looked at Krishna, who only smiled mischievously. In that moment, she realized that Krishna was no ordinary child, but someone truly divine.
Soon, her anger melted away, and she couldn’t help but smile. After all, who could stay upset with little Krishna, the butter thief who stole not just butter, but everyone’s hearts?
